NCAA Baseball News & Scores:

Bench-clearing brawl in JUCO tourney leads to double forfeit (AP)
A bench-clearing brawl in a junior college tournament Tuesday night ended with umpires ejecting every player and declaring a double forfeit that ended the season for both schools. Weatherford College and New Mexico Junior College emptied its benches in the sixth when a skirmish at second base set off a mele with thrown punches and tangled players.
Florida State's Posey plays 9 positions (AP)
Buster Posey was all over the field for Florida State. The Seminoles catcher played all nine defensive positions -- and hit a grand slam -- in a 10-0 seven-inning victory over Savannah State on Monday. Posey, a junior who's expected to be a high pick in the major league baseball draft in June, became the fourth Seminoles player under coach Mike Martin to play all nine positions.
Speedy Fordham leads NCAA in stolen bases (AP)
Nick Restaino has a bunch of thieves on his Fordham baseball team. They don't think twice about stealing, and the Rams coach wholeheartedly encourages all the pilfering. "We've got guys who can run and really steal bases," Restaino said. "And speed kills in sports, right?" It sure does, and it also can help you win ballgames.
Bucknell's Buursma a double threat for Bison (AP)

In this handout provided by the University of Bucknell, Bucknell baseball player Jason Buursma bats against Penn State during a college baseball game at Depew Field in Lewisburg, Pa., on April 13, 2008. As a senior, Buursma is enjoying his most successful campaign yet. Through 32 games in the field, he boasts a Patriot League-best .400 batting average, 11 home runs and a .725 slugging percentage and has also contributed 29 runs scored and 34 RBI. On the mound as the ace of Bucknell's staff, he is among the league leaders with a 5-3 record along with 65 strikeouts in 68.1innings of work, averaging 8.56 per nine innings.

Jason Buursma pitches, hits, plays all over the field and even runs the game music for Bucknell's baseball team. Name the task and he's handled it as the Bison's do-it-all star. "I just like to play," the senior pitcher and outfielder said. "I like to be out there. Put me anyplace and I'm happy." And it shows.

Georgia Tech player died of morphine toxicity (AP)
A Georgia Tech pitcher died last month from an accidental drug overdose, the medical examiner's office said Monday, but it has not been determined if heroin was involved. Michael Hutts, a 21-year-old pitcher for the Yellow Jackets, was the victim of accidental morphine toxicity, according to a statement from Fulton County's chief medical examiner, Randy Hanzlick.
